Was Sakura Really Useful In Naruto & Naruto Shippuden?

Was Sakura Useless At First?

Sakura was never completely useless, in the fight with Zabuza. Sakura defended Tazun, who is the master carpenter who built the Great Naruto Bridge. While Naruto was instantly frozen with fear, this is the fundamental reason Tazuna didn’t die.

Sakura may have been a crybaby at first, but she had good reasons for being that way. Sakura cared alot about Sasuke and it meant alot to her when they landed on the same team together. In the first fight at the Great Naruto Bridge, Sakura interfered with Sasuke and Haku‘s fight. In doing so she allowed Naruto to deliver a hit on Haku, which saved Sasuke from certain death.

Sakura also saved Naruto in the Chuunin exams arc, where she was ready to protect Sasuke and Naruto against the sound ninja. Giving Sasuke enough time to awaken his Sharingan and use his cure seal.

She also helped Naruto learn to control his Chakra so that he could walk on trees. Sakura herself was able to walk up a tree on the first try, while Naruto never stood a chance without Sakura.
So Was Sakura Really Helpful?

In my personal opinion yes, Sakura was helpful even though she whined alot and was obsessed with Sasuke. But only for the fact that she helped progress the main characters, not necessarily herself.

Once Naruto returned to the leaf village in Shippuden, everyone had gotten stronger, Including Sakura. She not only had immense strength, but she became an expert in medical Ninjutsu! In Shippuden Sakura was able to cure Kankuro from being poisoned by Sasori, who was an expert at making poison. Even Sasori himself was commended by Sakura ability to cure a poison she has never seen.

She also killed the Giant Centipede which was one of Pain’s strongest creatures. She also saved Naruto from death in the war when Kurama was extracted out of him. When Sakura summoned Katsuya, she saved countless lives by healing all of them. On top of that She had also saved Naruto and Sasuke from bleeding out in their fight with each-other.

All and all Sakura was alot stronger and less of a “I’m going to run away and hide or stand here and be useless.” I’m not saying Sakura is not a helpful character, but I will say in Shippuden she got stronger and healed countless people and potentially saved Naruto and Sasuke.
So Was Sakura Really Useless In Naruto Shippuden?

Again in my personal opinion, knowing that she got alot stronger and learned the 100 healing technique. While she gained incredible strength and achieved a level of medical Ninjutsu that was powerful enough to heal almost everyone in the war. I’d say yes Sakura in the end was useful.
