Ding! Level 3 Steem user! Third year on the platform has passed

in rant •  5 years ago

First of all, I want to thank everyone who has supported on my way. Lucky for me, it's not my parents, not my family, not my friends.

With the exception of the user who originally invited me to Steem, I didn't originally know anyone on the platform. Even at this point, I don't know THAT many people, but I've found friends and aquintances.

Most of all, Steem has been a place of creativity for me. A playground where nobody knows who I am, so I can more freely be more creative without ruining my public image. Not that it would be terrible anyways, but in the times of Internet anonimity being under danger, I think acting behind an username brings freedom and safety. It would be terrible if we all would be forced to give out our identities.

I don't mind if some do, that's completely fine too. Everyone is very likely looking for so different things on Steem. For some, this is business. For some, this is a way to post things which get banned on other sites. Some are seemingly just trying to find a place to be.

Why are you here?

Steem is not the ideal option for almost anything. There's always another website or blockchain which does something better. Based on the people seen here, I can't say Steem attracts only the best people either. However the pleasure is the flexibility. I wouldn't want to create a bunch of accounts to do different things. Well I have already a bunch of accounts, but no more. I can post photos, rants, jokes, stories, drawings, videos, reviews, almost anything.

And the beauty is, that just as many people are still interested. It's pretty much close to zero. Always. Be it a drawing, weird-ass story or a rant about nuclear power, there's luckily a few people who read the post.

Perfect anonimity. You can stay hidden, when nobody is interested to watch.

I wasn't completely honest though. You can always find someone who'll be happy on what you do. If it's a digitally painted frog or a photo of a topless man posing for a camera, you can always bring joy to someone. Hopefully at least to yourself. Steem is basically a platform for masturbation, when you make yourself "happy" online and get money from it.

Where are youu?

I've been recently more active on local topics, so the most convenient way to be active has been more local websites. I can't affect drug related, environmental or energy regulations by writing on Steem. Not like it would affect anything if I wrote rants on Facebook either, but it's mostly about trying to change the attitudes of people and share information. I'm not a politician, but I want to affect the hearts and minds of people, so together we can change the world.

But when I'll get a new telezoom lens, I'll promise to return and post more bird photos. Or I'll try to push some digital art to you once again. It's terrible, but I don't care, just like you don't care either.

I'm here. I'm not in with the consistency part, but it would help if I'd want to be famous and popular. The sad part with lack of consistency is that if a bunch of great authors (or me) are inactive, the friends and all will be more likely to drop off Steem too!

Nobody would want to be left alone on a platform like this. Especially as fun people are not THAT easy to find. I've tried, haven't found any yet.

These headers are pointless, only put here to make the text more readable

I don't have too much faith in the humanity and the world. But then again, I also tend to forget to close the zipper in my pants. Maybe I've just become old. Am I old?

What if I'm already 90 years old and don't realize it? Maybe all my friends are already dead. Soon I will follow. Nothing remains, but dead birds and ash.

Three years has gone on Steem. More to come. So, I'm looking forward to the next years on Steem. Hope this will get only better! :)

Photos are from Pixabay. I didn't actually get any cake.

Steem has been a great place for me to stop caring about anonymity. I made so many good friends and got so tired of being scared of google and the state that I took off my pineapple

Glad you are still here!

The Pain Apple!!!!
Very few of us look better than bread. Especially after 3 years old. Happy birthday!!!

I don't have too much faith in the humanity and the world.

Soon I will follow. Nothing remains, but dead birds and ash.

I love the overall positive vibes and attitude that you have. And I love your great tits and all the stuff that you build. Not mentioning the bread at all.

What if I'm already 90 years old and don't realize it?

What if we were all born at the age that we are going to die and our whole lives is based on the fact that we are just catching up on our actual age? Our age should be counted backwards. If we only knew what that was.

What if I overbaked a bread and only ash remains?

That would be condensed positivism.
