I don't normally post about rants here but let me just do it this time please.

Here in the Philippines, politics has always been the talk of the town lately especially with President Duterte's administration. There have been a lot of issues including his war on drugs and there were a lot of opposition who are trying to put him down.

I personally respect other people's opinion when it comes to politics and I expect that other people would also do the same thing. This is a free country afterall, we can say what we want and we are entitled for our opinions.

We have this one batchmate from highschool who is very active when it comes to issues about politics. She condemns Duterte's administration so much and she is so open about it. She only sees the bad things and basically ignores all other good things about this government. I always see her posting about it but I just scroll past down her posts. She is entitled for her own opinion anyway. Oftentimes, I could see her commenting on other people's own post and then she would start off a fight when this person disagrees with her and she would end up calling this person names like 'Idiot' or 'Stupid'.

Yesterday, the same thing happened to one of my boyfriend's good friend. This friend of ours serves as a police and he happened to share a post which was supposedly funny. Some common friends commented about it too and it's obvious that she didn't like what the post is all about that she started ranting about it. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

I'll keep her identity as a secret to save her from being bashed. She started off replying to the comments of what was supposed to be a "biruan" among the barkada. The friends of my partner kept on commenting on that post despite her comments because they are really like that. They just ignore her comments at first. With or without her comments, they will probably still comment funny things within that post anyway.

And then I think she started to get pissed off so she posted this comment below.

And then this is what really made me furious. She started calling them "Idiots" and having "no braincells". She even sent a personal message to one of my bf's friend which happened to be her friend too since elementary. She called him "Tanga" or moron.

My actual point here is this:

Who goes around other people's post only to call them "idiots" and as having "no braincells" when you can't make them agree with your political insights. Who does that? Only the real idiots does that. We are all entitled to share our own opinion. Why don't you go mess around your own feed and post your political insights there instead of bugging other people's post and then calling them hurtful words just because your belief and their beliefs are different. The people you are calling stupid and idiot are professional people. They are in one barkada having different beliefs when it comes to politics, religions and even personal beliefs but they RESPECT each other and they know how to separate public and personal stuffs like that. I've seen her do this a lot before to other people and she even commented before on my post but I just ignored her because I'm not the type who gets into a fight.

I get it. She's intelligent and she's an honor student but who cares? She might be academically inclined but then she forgot about her values.

She could have kept those things to herself but no, she choose to start a fight and this time, she chose to start off a big fire that would forever be instilled in our minds. Why does it have to be with her batchmates and her close friend just because of politics. I wish she could examine herself and realize her wrong doings or else, if she continue doing this, it would backfire on her someday.
