I have been a follower of rap / hip hop since the early 90s. In my opinion, hip hop has always been an expression of urban and other cultures. I always valued strong lyrics, solid delivery, infectious flow & showmanship, and extraordinary content.
But as many of you know, rap music (as well as many other genres) have become overly commercialized, simplified slop. I feel that the only way to keep great hip hop alive is remain united with those who share my views.
In an effort, I created a channel on Youtube dedicated to educating upcoming rap artists to the nonsense that radio / industry rap tends to present to the populous. Not only will my videos provide commentary to this situation but also provide knowledge to upcoming rappers so they have more options than just following what other industry rappers are doing.
This is basically my pilot for this site. If I see that it's getting good support, I will definitely post more content. Thank you all!!
