Rap Day #14 Khalid - Location

This time I decided to bring something different, so different that it is not even rap. I thought it was time to bring something sexier and calmer. Khalid Donnel Robinson's (or more generally known as Khalid) Location is his debut single dating back to 2016 and belonging to the R&B genre. I think the focus of the song is young love. It seems to portray a young doubtuous guy who might still have to work on his confidence coming to her feet trying to communicate and work on their relationship. The song gained a lot of popularity earning the single a 4 time platinum recognition in the USA.

Khalid was born in Georgia in 1998. He started working on his music during high school and sharing it in Soundcloud. Part of me is amazed by how young this artist is, his dedication, and his awesome use of technology for his career development. Regarding this song, Khalid said: "Location is a song that came to me out of nowhere. From the first time I heard the beat play, the words flew out. Hearing the chords instantly took me the first stage of a relationship. Young love, man. It’s a crazy thing. I first started making music in the winter of 2015 so this is one of my most developed songs so far.".
