In all the incidents of rape, somewhere, the victims are also fingered and they are brought down. Not a single question is asked of the rapist, but the women are victimized and charged with the same questions in the face of difficult questions. It is a great irony that rape victims in India have to pass through this stigma.

It is very difficult for rape victims to start their lives again. Nobody likes to be associated with a rape victim in any way, it is far from grooming her life again. It is difficult to get justice here as well as the pain of stigma increases and this makes their life like hell. Sunita Krishnan is a figure who worked hard to rehabilitate victims.

Sunita Krishnan who is the victim herself and therefore understands the plight of rape victims. When Sunita was 15, she was gang-raped by eight men. Sunita has left all of them behind and she provides relief and rehabilitation to the women who are raped. She expressly expresses anger in her words that the judiciary does not do much, the media is insensitive. Society also becomes indifferent to those with whom this incident occurs.

Sunita was born into a Malayali family in Bangalore. His father was a surveyor and because of this he got opportunities to roam everywhere in the country. She has been associated with social work since childhood. His parents support him in this work. This incident of rape changed his whole life. Despite being a victim and facing stigma, Sunita was able to overcome all this with the power of her conscience, and then the Prajwala Foundation was born.

Sunita's Prajwala Center is not only a home but it is the hope of all the women and girls who are victims of human trafficking who are looking for support for their rehabilitation. Prajwala made this debut in 1996, along with his brother Jose Vaticil. He first converted a brothel into a school in Hyderabad to provide access for children of sex workers. He was very scared and threatened and was attacked once, causing his left ear damage. Despite all this she continued her work and rehabilitated 8000 girls.

Today Prajwala employs 200 employees, but Sunita works as a full-time volunteer. She keeps herself redirected by organizing and writing workshops. She also co-produces films with her husband. His films, which were on sex-slavery, were praised and set an example for advocacy.
