The major major problem after the rape is in the mind of the victim. It has to do with emotional bruises and feeling of hurt. Long after the physical bruises have healed, the emotional bruises are still there because they run deep. Some rape victims have an emotional problem. They feel disoriented as a result of the traumatic experience.
