Less than a week since becoming the youngest men's cricketer to claim the joint-top spot among ODI bowlers, Afghanistan leggie Rashid Khan has climbed atop the T20I rankings as well. Rashid picked five wickets in the two-match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Sharjah earlier this month, which Afghanistan swept 2-0.
Among other big gainers were New Zealand top-order batsman Colin Munro and Australian Glenn Maxwell, both of whom topped the charts for T20I batsmen and all-rounders. Munro's rise comes after his stellar show in the T20I tri-series in Australia and New Zealand, wherein he amassed 176 runs at an eye-catching strike rate of 209.52. Maxwell's rise is also down to his showing in the tri-series, where he scored 233 runs and bagged three wickets.
The top-scorer of the series - Martin Guptill - has meanwhile, jumped up six places to reach fifth, while England batter David Malan - his team's leading scorer in the series - has leaped up 127 places to reach the career-best ranking of 22. Based on performances in South Africa, Shikhar Dhawan and JP Duminy have also seen a lift in their positions.
Among the bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Adil Rashid have made an upward march, while Australia's Andrew Tye was also rewarded with a jump by 53 places for his exploits in the tri-series.
