Anger is like flowing water;
There's nothing wrong with it as long as you let it flow.
Hate is like stagnant water;
Anger that you denied yourself the freedom to feel,
The freedom to flow;
Water that you gathered in one place and left to forget.
Stagnant water becomes dirty, stinky, disease-ridden,
Poisonous, deadly; that is your hate.
On flowing water travels little paper boats;
Paper boats of forgiveness.
Allow yourself to feel anger, allow your waters to flow,
along with all the paper boats of forgiveness.
Be human.

Since I was castigated before when posting a quote from another author, and
I was told that I needed to write at LEAST as much original words as is contained in
The quote, explaining WHY I chose to post this, here it is.
I suffer mightily from PTSD:
Depression, Anger Management issues etc....
Much of what this quote states resonates deep inside with me.
Events in my past which damaged my spirit, but which at the time I did
Not feel the freedom to express, to tell what had happened
(there was no #metoo movement 40 yrs ago, especially for men),
That "water of anger" inside me was left to stagnate and fester,
So that today I have no friends,
No intimate relationships,
No relationships at all really.
I need to find a way to set my own Stagnant Anger and Resentments
Free, rather than hold that pain to my chest, stabbing myself
Over and over with events from so long ago.

Free to float away .
