THOR’S WELL | The Gate to Hell

In central Oregon near the rugged key perpetual coast is a mystifying site. A giant hole that according to legend is draining the Pacific Ocean that is big enough to swallow a boat. The seemingly bottomless a base is sometimes called the gate to hell

“More commonly it is known as Thor’s well”

BUT WHAT EXACTLY IS THOR'S WELL?

Thor’s Well is an awe-inspiring natural structure, which is located on the Oregon coast. It is often referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Underworld’ because of its epic, almost mythological appearance.

In the mystical story, it certainly looks as if the known ‘god of thunder’ slams down his iconic hammer and encrypted this ranging hole in the rock.

For thousands of years, the Americans researched to get the secret behind Thor’s well. Evidence of this can be seen around the hole where different activities were carried out by the scientists. The formations were geologically formed over a long period of time. They started as a sea cave and eventually, the top of the cave collapses leaving an opening where the tide comes in from below with a powerful force water shooting upward. The hole is exclusively big like about 20 feet of the dragon rock.

Although the well is a popular site for tourists, local authorities warn people to be extremely cautious when visiting it. Waves crash into the deep chasm and fill it up with such ferocity that water is then forced over six meters into the air with numerous sharp, jagged rocks surrounding the hole, and extremely violent torrents.

It is likely that if anyone ever fell into the well, there would be no hope of rescuing them.

Thor’s well is best seen an hour before or an hour after high tide and there is no information out there on who named Thor’s well.

Depending on the tide level, sometimes the hole bubbles to the top, while other times it’s piercing out with a violent spray.

Thor’s well, of course, is extremely dangerous; people get excited to photograph it forgetting they can be pulled in at any time. High tide is the best time for photography here, but it also the most dangerous.

CONCLUSION

Thor’s well does not drain the Pacific into the center of the earth nor does it seem to feed into an Alaric maize of hidden sub training caves rather it is a hole under the water that empties right back out into the sea and it never overflows.
