Odion Ighalo has confirmed he will miss Nigeria's upcoming matches against Algeria and Argentina because of injuries.

The Chanchung Yatai attacker is in the Super Eagles squad for their last 2018 World Cup qualifier in November 10, followed by a friendship against Argentina in Russia four days later.

However, Ighalo suffered a knock in Changchun's last game and has been out for about two weeks.

"I had a knee injury in our last game against Chongqing Dangdai Lifan FC on Sunday. I could finish the game because I thought it was not serious, then I felt pain after the match." Ighalo has been quoted by Allnigeriasoccer.com.

"I will not play for 10-15 days anymore, I will not be able to play against Algeria and Argentina."

Ighalo established himself as the leader of Nigeria's attack by the World Cup players and achieved the opening goal in the 4-0 win over Cameroon in September.
