Sometimes here are clouds of gloom,

If the shower will succeed the roses bloom,
O why cry for its drop ?
Rapidly, merrily,
Life's sunny hours dart by,
Gratefully, cheerily,
Enjoy them as they flee !
What despite the fact that loss of life at era steps in
And calls our paramount left ?
What even if mourning seems to win,
O'er hope, a minder lean ?
Yet plan another time changeable springs,
Unconquered, although she fell;
Still jaunty are her fair-haired wings,
Still sturdy to suffer us well.

Manfully, fearlessly,
The day of testing bear,
For gloriously, victoriously,
Can courage alleviate despair?
