Day -2 | 2 days until I start my new employment based on my fake CV.

                                    -

In today's blog , I will continue sharing my background story from my previous post. More specifically, I will describe my real-life working background up to the point where I started to fake it. I cannot think of a better way for my readers to know what made me become the fake worker, experienced CV- and interview-liar, that I am today.

So what is my actual CV and work experience?

I was highly driven during my international studies that brought me nearly around the globe from my home Sweden. Within 4 years in this country, I completed 2 degrees simultaneously prior to 2010, a 2-year degree and a Bachelor from an educational institution ranked among the top 200 in the world. I was rewarded for my studies, and maintained somewhere between a 3.0 out of a 4.0 GPA. I was very proud for being the first in my family to earn a degree. Throughout my combined studies that I took at a 150% pace, I also worked part-time in the service industry.

However, after that and back home to Sweden, it took me well above a year to get my first job during the hard economic times around 2008. Solely based on the help of my cousin, I was offered a position as a shop keeper in at a company in the gaming industry. Basically, I never got to work more than 20h /week with a salary comparable slightly above to the range of what Mc Donald’s offer. This was not promising. I was back living with a mentally ill mother while earning just enough to pay for my necessary monthly up-keeping at a job that took me further away from my career ambitions. Out of context; at this time, I also was obliged to start paying back the student loans which had accumulated to about US $70,000. We all go through tough times, I certainly had my share. On top of this, I actually had a really bad time at this tremendously boring job along a bully of a store manager that gradually reduced my hours.

After a year, I resigned and went on a dirt cheap holiday to Morocco as I recently received a boost of stash by using a loophole in the Swedish education system that gave me just above $ 5,000 (this fund is comprised by a mixture between a governmental grant and loan). In short, I only needed to sign up to an online education, show my intentions the weeks until my grant was approved for the whole term (½ year). Obviously, I also opted to choose to option which entitled me to receive the grant in full at the start of my "studies".

I finally felt a positive boost coming home with a tan and exciting experiences after my week in Morocco. It took me only a couple of days before I jumped on an opportunity from my best friend at the time. He helped me work along him as a receptionist / instructor at a local gym, also being paid by the hour. This was a much more positive job than my previous position. But looking at my skinny body, and also having no certificate of being a gym instructor, I was impressed how my friend convinced his boss to hire me. However, the salary and the few hours I received here barely covered the rent for a new 1-bedroom apartment that I just moved into and for food. Seriously, that must have been the cheapest apartment in the whole city with a monthly rent of US $300. Another half-year passed, and I still hadn’t gotten anywhere with this job. Here I was, an educated person with an unattractive and desperate profile lacking relevant office experience to my CV. Whatever rare interviews for full-time positions I somehow managed to convince my way into at that point, the response was always that they chose to proceed with highly experienced competitors. Actually, at this point, there were perhaps a measly 50 job openings a month relevant to my educational background. Moreover, the people who got these jobs did turned out to be either highly experienced people or fresh masters graduates (among a ton of new ones each year). Even worse, there were also situations when the recruiters stated that they chose to hire internal recruits. At this point I had no other option than to jump at the first best opportunity because I couldn’t compete with this.

My next brilliant and desperate idea was to broaden my applications to all across the world. This resulted in a dodgy teachers position in Asia where I was offered$ 1,000 USD/ Month and free housing. Basically, the only criteria this employer requested me to prove was my educational background from an English speaking university. So, about a month later from my invitation, I embarked on a crazy, crazy, I mean ridiculously crazy work experience. Can you imagine that I came to a country where English is practically nonexistent, I had absolutely no savings left to my name (I couldn’t afford a plane ticket back home) and after only 2 days, I would become a teacher for students aged between 3-18. I had 0, (zero!) experience as a teacher, except for the 2 days where I was shadowing highly incompetent and unqualified teachers. This work experience, which underwent during a gruesome 6 month period, resulted in me being tricked and robbed by my own boss as well as being escorted by crooked cops without having anything to my name from the premises where I lived and worked. I have set up a whole website about my experiences with this employer online. Perhaps, I will dare to share that at a later stage. But there are more than a handful of people who would love to get back at me in a second as I have exposed, shamed and ridiculed a lot of maniac "teachers" and obviously the business/ educational program owners.

Luckily, my mom had a boyfriend at this time, and he borrowed me some money as I got back home. At the same time a very good friend of mine arrived to visit me in this country as I had invited him a few months earlier. He was ridiculously kind to help me out with a wired transfer through Western Union. This friend is loaded with money, and he will probably be laughing as he reads this section. He and I always joke about how money comes easy to him. This guy, I cannot say that he doesn't deserve it, but no matter what he touches, shit turns into gold. For example, all his crypto-currency investments seem to soar as soon as he invests in something. And mine, well they fall, stagnate... then I sell and they soar after that.. Gosh, Crypto-trading, I enjoy gambling so I stay invested ... Anyhow, I got back home to Sweden and faced an even more depressing situation. After watching movies such as I Love You Phillip Morris and Catch me if you Can, I begun to build my lying CV-platform along my fake work-persona that I have incorporated today. This was the turning point, I wasn't climbing in shit, I was immersed neck deep. Thank god for these movies (and a few close people), I soon lied myself into my first job. The monthly salary I earned was almost as much as I earned previously during ½ a year!

Anyway, I have realized that my stories are hard to summarize and I always seem to have situations that take me off-course. if you are a factual/ summary-hungry reader, I apologize for spending your valuable time. But if you are interested to continue reading my story, the next blog will start at the point where I in turn started my lying career!

This is as i previously mentioned, one of my greatest inspirations. The real story of Frank Abagnale Jr. He did not only just successfully forged millions of dollars' but he also faked his way into becoming a pilot, a doctor, and legal prosecutor. Today, Frank is a multi millionaire and a free man (if he has not yet passed away from old age).

Thank you for reading my stories, see you at the next post! I look forward to replying to any message as the weekend comes!
