Zidane plans with Marcos Llorente and Borja Mayoral

The Frenchman believes that both can be important players in the coming months and doesn't want them to go on loan.
Llorente will face difficult competition in the defensive pivot position, where Casemiro is immovable and where Mateo Kovacic appears with each new performance as a very serious alternative to the Brazilian. The young academy player will have to demonstrate his desire and footballing skill, and continue with the good attitude shown in his first season in LaLiga at Alaves.

Borja Mayoral would adopt the same position in the squad as Mariano and Alvaro Morata did last season. Both strikers had an excellent campaign and scored many goals, and although Mayoral had a small role in the Bundesliga at Wolfsburg last season, his quality is indisputable. Therefore, Zidane counts on him to provide decent back-up for the Real attack.

The idea of the coach is that both players do not need to look for another club to get minutes, because they will form part of his famous squad rotation. For that reason he has promised them minutes, and an argument in their favour are the cases of Marco Asensio, Morata, Danilo and Kovacic, who, despite not being starters, all enjoyed a great amount of time on the pitch.
