Life never remains same forever. There are times when everything goes in your favor and you feel that life is nothing less than a heavenly dream. On other times you find yourself drowning in deep darkness. You feel lost, you find no way to go, it feels like life has finished and there is no reason left to live. You feel extremely alone, you become incapable of seeing all the good things that are certainly enough to make your life not only worth living but to be thankful for.

You know where the problem lies? The problem is with in us. We don’t feel thankful for all that we have. Instead, we ruin the joy that we should get from the blessings we have by comparing our lives with others.

There is this girl I know; she is extremely beautiful, has a loving and honest husband, two beautiful children, a house and a nice car for their small family. But she is still not happy with her life. She believes that life is not beautiful enough for she can’t have all those luxuries that she always dreamt of. She feels deprived of the things which rest of her friends have in their lives.

You know what is she doing? She is committing the biggest ever mistake of comparing her life with others without knowing the hidden facts about their lives. They might have all those riches and luxuries but what’s the use of having all that if they don’t have a happy family; what if their husbands are not even honest to them and the most precious gift of one’s life is having healthy children; what if they are deprived of that? I have known people who are willing to stake every single thing they have and get this blessing in return.

So, what I aim to convey here is that we miss the most beautiful moments of our lives and ignore the most precious relationships we are blessed with just because we keep comparing our lives with the ones who dream of having a life like us. You must have heard the proverb stating,

"All that glitters is not gold"

This is so damn true. All those sparkling things are not supposed to be how they look like. So please, stop comparing your lives with others and start enjoying every bit of the life that you are blessed with. TRUST ME THIS LIFE IS A BLESSING IF YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE AND THE SAME BECOMES A CURSE IF YOU START OVERLOOKING WHAT YOU HAVE AND FEEL THANKLESS FOR THE THINGS THAT YOU ARE DEPRIVED OF.

I myself have been through phases when I took all those beautiful people, I have in my life for granted, for the ones who hardly ever treated me nice. But then I realized that where is it taking me? To be honest to darkness, hopelessness and severe depression. I told myself that I am being unfair to myself which is not only wrong but sin. You mistreating yourself or hurting yourself physically or emotionally is nothing less than a sin. Why? Because you are ruining a soul and this ultimately corrodes your brain and body. Be fair to yourself, treat yourself nicely, love your life, your relationships, you are beautiful inside out and so is your life. Just for once sit back and think of all those good things that you have and other people crave to have them. Isn’t this life worth loving? YES IT IS :)

Sending your way love and good vibes :)
