Ready or Not is a mix of horror, mystery and comedy fiiled with suspense. A movie directed by Matt Bettinelli and Tyler Gillette. It starred actors which includes Samara Weaving (The Baby Sitter), Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien, Henry Czerny amongst many others.
Ready or Not follows a bride (Samara Weaving) as she gets marries into a wealthy, odd family of Adam Brody ( Daniel Le Domas). Grace who was excited about marrying the man she loves only for her expectations to be cut short. The family she got married into holds a tradition which must be observed by a new bride or groom. Well here, i thought of this tradition as a ritual done to officially welcome a new member into the family which however turned not so cool. Samara is however given a chance to pick a game which was supposed to be easy but unfortunately for her she picked the most dreaded game of them all HIDE & SEEK. To her it was just a normal game, till it became a bloody game with her fighting for survival.

Samara Weaving deserves some accolades for being able to carry along the viewers. Being able to switch from a sweet bride, to a scared bride then to a bride desperately fighting to survive. Which is carried also by her beautiful wedding gown which became drenched in blood later in the movie. The movie is an entertaining one that keeps you at the edge of your seat, although scary in some scenes due to the violent killings with the use of crossbow but bearable because of the mix of comedy in it. I personally do not like horror movies Oh my!! It scares me, i might even begin to have nightmares lol..... But because of the mix i was able to watch this movie, although i had to close my eyes in some scenes lol...
The quality of the rest of cast varies as they all put in their best. Another thing i love and wonder about in the was the many hideouts or secret rooms in the mansion, it made me believe the so called crazy tradition started from the very beginning maybe the reason why the mansion was built in the first place. It got me thinking about how one particular family could sit to establish such a tradition. But not to be biased even in the real world many families still observe some very odd tradition that cannot be voiced.
So guys, if you are a fan of horror movies you need to see this movie. Nevertheless, if you want to see a movie with a mix of all you can not miss this.... But if you don't have the heart for it close your eyes when you get to those scenes like i did lol....
