Movie review; Everything, everything. 2017

I was just playing around my friend computer and I saw the movie. The first thing that got my attention is the title. I asked my friend, it that a movie, and he said yes. I asked because the title is somehow complicated. What is everything that turns everything? Well, you are about to know.

The story is about a young lady (Maddy) that has a weak immune system. She has been in the house for 17 years. If she goes outside, she dies. She was diagnosed for severe combined immunodeficiency, (SCID) at her tender age. The title everything is because she feels she is missing out on everything. Only a few people know of her existence. Her mum, her nurse Carla, and her daughter Rosa. It a movie of few casts.

Maddy grew up believing her system is weak so she also admitted to the sickness. The human mind is inclined to believe. There is scientific research that explains that whatever you believe will get into your mind and become part of you. That is why the first healing to any sick person is to believe he/she will be alright.

The first scene of the movie is where the girl was looking through her glasshouse hoping she could go through it and enjoy the normal life anyone is living. She lives with her mum. And the regular visitor she normally gets is her nurse, Carla and the nurse daughter, Rosa. So that has been her life.

One day a new family moved to their neighborhood, and there is a young handsome guy in this family. The guy's name is Olly, and he saw Maddy through the window the same day they moved to the neighborhood, and that was the beginning of the change. Their communication starts via the window, and later the guy had the chance to enter their house with the help of Carla (Nurse). When the mum knew about it, she was furious and sacked the nurse. But during this time love had taken over.

Celine Dion said love can move a mountain. I thought it was just a lyric but truly, love can jailbreak anything. She began to go out whenever her mum isn't in the house, after a while she felt sick. That was when she stopped going out. After a while again, she ran out of the house and told Olly that she needed to know if she is can live a normal life. They ran to Hawaii. They had a lot of fun and after a few days, she collapsed and was taken to the hospital there. That was when her mum knew her whereabouts. Maddy told the doctor she had CSID but the doctor said someone with that sickness wouldn't get healed the way she did. That she doesn't think such is in her body.

She was discharged after a while, and she questioned her mum about the sickness, but she kept saying this same thing until Maddy ran out of the house again. After a while, the mum found her and explained she was never sick all, she did that to keep her alive. She doesn't want anything to happen to her. She lost her brother and their father in a car accident and she doesn't want her to even get hurt by any means.

I think that's disappointing. Imagine you have been living for 18 years thinking you can die anything, while there is nothing wrong with you. The mum was been overprotective. Anything can happen anywhere. She could even get hurt in the house. Well, at the end of the movie she moved to New York to see Olly. It a short, clear, and interesting movie. You may give it try, I believe you would love it.
