BAT browser - one of the best browser I've used on mobile

Everyone on steemit should know about Brave - A fast, secure, and privacy focussed browser with a native token called BAT.

I have been using the browser both on my Laptop and mobile and I must say the superior experience of using Brave on mobile is much more apparent.

You can download the browser by clicking on the links given above. Once you've downloaded you'll realise that there are absolutely no ads on this browser and that loading times are significantly better than chrome.

I'll focus more on the mobile version of the browser. The screenshot above shows the interface. When you've newly downloaded Brave, you will not see the icons of frequently visited pages, as is the case in my screenshot.

The screenshot also gives stats on how many ads and trackers it has blocked and how much time is saved in loading pages due to that.

The other additional benefit is that if you want to browse in privacy mode, it has tor embedded in the browser itself, so identifying you will be difficult. Privacy is one of the key selling points of Brave.

There is an integrated wallet on the webpage that stores your bat tokens.

BAT stands for Basic Attention token, the idea being that my time spent on browsing is worth something and I should be compensted for it. You can choose to view ads separately and you can also transfer BAT tokens to this wallet to reward your favourite content providers.

Brave not only allows you to accumulate BAT, via ads that slide in as system notifications once per hour or so, but also to receive BAT that’s either paid or “tipped” to you by other users or readers. You can take some of that BAT to “pay” other users, or store it. Eventually, Brave says, you’ll be able to trade it in for gift cards or other services.

It is based on Chromium 78, but Brave has completely removed the Google Services code to deliver what it claims.

There is enough info you can find but 2 things really stand out for me, 3 may be.

  1. It is fast. I never experience any drag or slow loading times. There is no BS about notifications nothing.
  2. No ads, I watch youtube on this, no ad blockers needed. No ads will ever bother you when enjoying content.
  3. Earning tokens and tipping my favourite authors/content creators.

The one issue is that, I'm still not fully sure, how to actually earn tokens while browsing. I think the feature is still getting loaded or rolled out. The move from beta to release of version 1.0 happened only recently so may be those features are yet to be rolled out properly.

Try it out, let me know what you think.
