RealityHubs Contest Entry: My favorite dApps: SteemAuto
This application has many tools but I really like it because it is a good way of upvoting the posts of Steemians whose work you enjoy and up voting the posts of some of your followers. The great thing is you decide how posts per day to vote on and what percentage of your voting power to use. Then once you set it up it happens by itself automatically. I can vote with 10% of my voting power on ten people and still have decent voting power at the start of each day. Because it’s automatic, I can be gone for a day, a week or a month and it still votes for me. It is divided into different sections so I will talk about the ones I use.
Fanbase
One of my favorite features is fanbase. I use the Fanbase to upvote my favorite bloggers, but the other functions are useful also, so I suggested you read the article. I use fanbase to find my favorite bloggers and upvote one or more of their posts per day. You can choose how many you will upvote and the percentage of an upvote. You also choose the time you vote. This is very useful considering you only have ten 100% votes per day. So if you choose 50% you now have 20 decent size votes to reward your followers, your favorites and new artists you meet.
Comment Up voting
Another nice feature is comment upvoting. Part of engagement on Steemit is rewarding people who view your blog posts and leave a comment. I enjoy reading these comments and replying with a comment and an upvote, but this feature allows me to reward people who follow me comment even if I miss their comment! The day they leave it. They still get a reward and later I can leave a comment.
Scheduled Posting
Another feature I like is scheduled posting. I sometimes post 2-3 times a day. But I also want to produce regular daily content, so my followers have something to read, comment and hopefully upvote everyday. So, if I am going on holiday I create 2-3 day’s worth of content, schedule each one to be published on certain days like one on Friday, the next on Saturday and the third on Sunday. I can be on a holiday weekend and still supply my followers with fresh content.
Conclusion:
I like being able to schedule an upvote on authors I like 5 minutes after their posts come out, to maximize my curation rewards and allow me to leisurely read the posts later. I also like that I can schedule those posts with 100%, 50% or even 5% voting power, so I always have enough voting power left for manual curation. It helps me to earn Steem and still engage through manual curation. But also automate small upvotes on comments to help the new ones grow. These are the three features of Steemauto I use the most currently, but I there are several other features which you may find useful also. I strongly suggest you try out this application. Hey there @shortsegments! Thank you for using the #realityhubs tag. Everyone has got to love Steemauto. I think it is an incredible Dapp. I use it too but majorly the Fanbase.
