Reality TV- Is it really representative of societies behaviour?

in realitytv •  8 years ago  (edited)

I actually really enjoy reality TV and in the UK we have currently love island and Big brother on at the same time (scandelous)
and it's a toss up between which one to watch.

The reality that we British experience in these current shows comprises of shuffling between the sheets, ridiculous arguments over nothing and a total lack of respect in most cases.

What is quite alarming is how some people feel it is appropriate to talk to others like they have just flicked them off their shoe.

I say this but have not missed an episode of Love Island from start to finish.

Oops...

Whats your thoughts on reality TV?

It's toxic, and made to be addictive.

"I can't believe humans actually act like this!"

And then you have a generation growing up believing it's okay to treat others like garbage.

That being said, we're all to blame for funneling money into something completely useless for humanity..

I agree......my husband says I'm a hypocrite.... I probably am. You're right it's made to be addictive!

I am not big on tv but do watch reality tv here and there. It is just fun to watch real life reactions and what people are doing, how they conduct themselves, it is a lot of learning at times I think too, lol.

You got me thinking now... lol
Thanks for sharing.
Have a great day @sarahewaring

It doesnt feel quite right sometimes, people are not really acting spontanious but its like they are playing a role, they all wearing a mask. Most of the time I don't like reality tv but some things are good enough to watch :)

Yes....I get that!

Lol Sarah your so funny 😁 I used to like it and be very addicted but now I only watch one and that is Little Women LA those girls are a mess! I say it's ok to watch reality tv but it's not all real the producers pretty much tell them what to do and act because then there would be no drama. The only reality show to me that is really close to reality is Cops first reality TV show

I don't know any of them but yes I guess that they make them like puppets!
