I just realized that as I grow older, I get less excited. I'm more serious and less carefree. I'm more tired and less focused. It's like my mind is all over the place and what helps me back on track is routine.
But on the other hand, being older made me realized that I prefer solitude more than being in a crowd and that silence is more beautiful than noise. I have also learned to appreciate friends that can be certain of rather than a certain number of friends. I'd now prefer deep and meaningful conversations over shallow ones and to always choose to be responsible and understanding over being immature. It also made me to choose to spend more time with the family and people that matter and lastly, it made me want to treasure every given moment.
Being older made me appreciate every waking day and made time very precious. That every day is a gift and should be used wisely.
Just my thoughts for this evening as the realization of another ending week came to mind.
What has 2019 taught you so far?
As for me, it is to embrace this next stage of life called being an adult (in the early adulthood stage) and to be a responsible one.
