Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz is one step from moving to Lyon, French media reports said on Saturday.
According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, Mariano Diaz met last Thursday with French club Lyon coach Bruno Genicio. The meeting took place in Barcelona, Spain.
The young striker was able to know the intentions of French club Lyon closely, talking to the manager of contracts in the French team, Florian Morris.
Lyon are looking to strengthen their offensive for next season, with the possible departure of their first striker Alexandre Lacazete, who is close to leaving for Arsenal.
Real Madrid are likely to include a clause in the player's transfer that will enable him to recover in the future, if he so desires, as he has urged with former players such as Carvalghe and Casimiru.
