I got started with Steemit just around 5 months ago...
I'll go in to how I found steemit and why everyone should be here further in to the post...

Here's my short version of my back story, My Real Wealth Journey actually started just a little over 10 years ago when we had the HUGE Stock Market Crash and 77 Billion GBP was wiped of the stock market, it was not long after the housing market bubble and sub prime mortgage crisis. Before you jump the gun this is not a post about "The Stock Market" I just wanted to highlight a couple of things and events that most of us can all relate too.

Most of us will remember the housing market bubble in 2007 and the big crash of 2008, Different people have different opinions of how or what actually happened, Some have written about it in depth and some have even created documentaries about it... but once all is said and done there is no getting away from the fact that it was a major disruption to a lot of peoples lives. Some people were forced out of their homes, lost their jobs and any savings they had in the bank.

2007 and 2008 were the worst years of my life financially but at the same time it was also the biggest and most valuable learning experience ever. Blow #1 came in 2007 - Following the housing market bubble, I was forced to close my real estate business after investing lot's of time and money in to website development and marketing, partnering with major developers etc (The market became so stagnant that the major developers I was working with all closed their offices in the UK). Blow #2 came in 2008 when I had just recently established a new business offering commercial finance as an intermediary for a large finance company in the UK, I had once again invested a lot of time and money in to a new business venture which was forced to close simply because the banks had stopped lending and in turn meant I could no longer offer the products and services and the business I was working with was forced in to liquidation.

I was failing miserably but it wasn't through the lack of trying... it was through outside circumstances and events that were much bigger than me and out of my control.

This led me on a journey and a quest for knowledge, I wanted to learn more about our financial banking system, money distribution, economics and business and so each night I had some free time to study that's exactly what I would do... I started to watch video documentaries, started following highly successful people and looked for opportunities to improve my financial situation.

After years of trying, failing and sometimes succeeding... I stumbled upon a unique business opportunity dealing in precious metals. When I began listening to the coaching sessions and presentations my mind was opened up to a totally different view of money. I got to learn the difference between FIAT Money and what the financial elite refer to as Real Money - Real Money being "Gold". I learned that Gold is Money & the FIAT Money we are all used to is actually debt - pieces of paper - IOU's...

I also learned that Fiat money loses value to inflation while Gold has historically maintained it's purchasing power.

So after giving you a little back history and some small insights as to what I have learned over the last 10 years of study and research hopefully it will be clear as to why I am now such an advocate for "Real Money" & now Crypto-Currency which is primarily (NON FIAT) and is decentralized. Many people refer to Bitcoin as Gold 2.0, Personally I don't agree... While Bitcoin has certain characteristics and similarities to Gold (for example - Only 21 Million Bitcoin will ever be mined in to existence - making it scarce and rare just like Gold), however... it will always be virtual money. That does not mean it's a good or bad thing but what I like most about crypto currency is... It's provably fair and is of limited supply, it's easy to manage and it can be fractionalized in to mili-bits meaning very small amounts of currency.

Since 2011 I have been actively promoting financial education and real wealth creation opportunities and just recently in 2016; Crypto mining products were introduced when our company Swiss Gold Global partnered with the worlds largest, most successful and fastest growing cloud mining operation Genesis Mining. See video on DTube The mining contracts have been so popular that they have sold out several times, the demand is such that it has been outweighing the supply and some people have had to patiently wait until new mining farms are built with new mining rigs installed.

How I found Steemit and why everyone should be here:

In late 2017; I started a new Team Build campaign for our Platinum Wealth Builders Group providing tools and training to assist with team building for SGG, during one of our Live Zoom Calls my good friend and business partner @jongolson talked about his plan to bring out a new training website to offer free education on crypto with multiple income streams and opportunities built in, the training site was launched on March the 5th 2018 and incorporates crypto faucets and many other cool crypto resources as well as an introduction in to Swiss Gold Global and Steemit. Actually there is a whole page of training videos which are dedicated to Steemit alone which is super cool because learning about Steemit can be a little bit bewildering at first. So I got to learn more about Steemit through this cool free training site called Bitcoinbully courtesy of @jongolson.

The reason why I think everyone should be here

First and foremost if you use Facebook or any other social media platform (off chain) and you post content, share photo's or videos, like, share or comment then you'll know that by doing so you are creating content for that particular platform and they make money off of you by piggy backing ads on your content pages.... You don't see any of that...

Now with Social Media on the blockchain you can do all the same things like photo sharing, commenting and upvoting but there's more... You can create your own blog or vlog and you can earn and be rewarded for doing the stuff you would normally do anyway - it's another no-brainer folks. So once I discovered Steemit and learned about all the content creation tools, features and apps that run on the blockchain with Steemit I was hooked.
