Reading Rebus In Sequence

I’ve just embarked on reading Ian Rankin’s Rebus novels in sequence

Currently on #2 Hide &Seek

Didn’t realise, till reading the first book Knots & Crosses, the psychological depth of Rebus’s personal past - that first book became really intense in its second half
