if there is something in most of the homes of my family, it is to keep the traditional things of our roots and that more than the preparation of the bread cake, which is prepared with the old bread that is no longer used to wet with the coffee with milk.
the way it is prepared is simple, here I will leave everything you need to make your bread cake as good as my family.
Ingredients:
2 cups of grated hard bread
2 cups of milk
4 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup condensed milk
6 tablespoons of butter
1 spoon of vanilla
Raisins to taste
preparation:
To make this rich and easy recipe for bread cake, first, in a bowl, put the bread with liquid milk for a while to absorb it.
Meanwhile, in a pot prepare a syrup with 1/2 cup of sugar and a 1/4 cup of water, bring to medium heat until a light caramel is made.
When the candy is ready the mold is covered, where we are going to bake the cake, with a layer of said candy.
In another bowl, mix the butter with the sugar until you get an almost white cream. Little by little, the eggs are added one by one and they continue beating until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, condensed milk is added, vanilla and a touch of cinnamon and liqueur can also be added to taste.
To add the raisins, a plastic pallet or ladle is used to incorporate and distribute them throughout the mixture.
To finish, pour the mixture into the mold and take it to the oven preheated to 150 degrees and baked for 45 minutes.
When removing the bread cake from the oven, let it rest for 15 minutes and remove it from the mold when it is still warm so that the caramel does not dry out too much.
