Turkey Chili

I love the way chili makes my house smell warm and wintery; this is a quick and healthy chili that is an easy weeknight meal. You could add beans if you like beans in your chili, just rinsed pinto or black beans from the can would be good.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tbs chili powder
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 can (14.5oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Brown then meat with onion and bell pepper. After the meat is cooked trough add tomatoes, tomato sauce and water. Season with chili powder, garlic powder, allspice, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, longer if you like it to be thicker.  Top with cheese and green onions and enjoy!
