Basil Collins

Today we had some great weather in Belgium. Perfect sunny weather needs a great fresh cocktail.
One of my favorites is the Basil Collins!

So here is the recipe:

First you need a good Gin, in this cocktail i prefer Gin Mare from Barcelona. For the mediterrenean touch.
Take 5cl or maybe a little bit more depending on your mood.😉

Then mix your sugar sirop with fresh basil leaves in a blender for the best result. Also 5cl.

Then fresh lemon juice, also 5cl to keep it simple.

Shake well in your Boston Shaker, pour it in your glass with a lot of icecubes and top off with sparkling water.

Finishing touch: some fresh basil leaves

Hope you like it guys, give me some feedback!

That sounds like a good drink! I've been soaking flowers from the black locust tree (Robinia pseudoacacia) in gin -- and that is so good, too -- like a punch of summer! That basil sounds wonderful -- I'll have to try that! Thanks!

Sounds good, i should also try it.😀
