It's been a minute since I've posted a #RecordPool Song of the day for my fellow music enthusiasts, so here goes another one for y'all!
So up next on the list is the beautiful and lyrically gifted Rapsody with her song "Nobody" featuring a few of my favorite creatives. Anderson .Paak lends his vocals over what sounds like a D'angelo "My Lady" inspired beat--followed by the master emcee Black Thought who always, always, always brings heat to whatever he touches. The Moonchild sample is a perfect touch to the track, kinda like sprinkles on top of your ice-cream, ha! This track has a dope, soulful blend of sounds that compliment the lyrics of each artist. Be sure to listen through to the end to hear Rapsody's satirical skit that showcases a convo where social media drama and what is going on in the lives of strangers is the topic of conversation, it's hella funny!
Rapsody has been on the Hip-hop scene for quite some time now and over the years her creative contributions are taking on a maturity that I truly admire and appreciate. Ok, that is mos def good to know I can post my own songs as a #recordpool song of the day, I hadn't even thought about it, that's going to be cool throwing a few of my songs in the mix.
