Ive decided to electricute and poision myself.

So, I have struggled with alcoholism since I was around the age of 16, I finally decided enough is enough... And I have admited myself to a very unique rehabilitation facility. Shick Shadel, The only rehab I am aware of that practices Aversion Therapy. As soon as I got here It was VERY APPARENT how powerful this place is. I watched people go from seizures from not drinking, to puking at the very sight or smell of alcohol.

This is not your typical rehab environment as you can see. I will be drinking poisioned alchohol under medical supervision, as well as being electricuted while drinking.

Cards against humanity is what gets us by around here. That and the laughs from silly folks still drunk and high on valium.

Thank you so much for your support neoxian! you have been such a blessing in my time here on steemit.

I Agree!!

That is a crazy method. I hope you come out of it ok.

Im going to come out of here on a whole new level. Im so ready for my sodium pentathol interview.

What do they ask you in that interview?

I get to pick 3 questions my therapist picks 5 each time.

How do you decide what questions to pick?

What I want them too as well asy therapist's questions

All the very best, @cryptohustlin

welcome to steemit! followed you pls follow back ;)
have fun!

The first step is to admit you have a problem. I have no idea what the second step is and most people don't either. Let's get drunk!!

I am no stanger to behavioral therapy/aversion therapy myself. Actually, I have several thousand hours of it behind me. It is a powerful method that will change your brain, and your life. It's not easy.

However, once you go through this process, you need to understand that there can be, or may be, some unintended consequences that result from this kind of behavioral reprogramming. Personally, I am finding that 20 years later it does cause some issues in my marriage relationship - because my wife does not seem to understand that some of the things she is doing are causing me to react, involuntarily, in ways that she does not understand or like.

All I'm saying is, there are benefits to what you are doing - and they are worth it. But, you will be changed - and that will have years of results for you, which are not all known from the start. Some results will be good, some not so good. Overall, it is worth it - for your own survival and recovery. However, others may have a harder time understanding your behavior in the future.

This guy has helped a lot of people including me.
I'm telling you he is the real staff!
He uses a different method but the idea is the same. Hate for alcohol and everything related to it. Love for life with all the hardships that comes with,
take responsibility and work hard.
He has a 365 days challenge where every day he records a consultation video while hiking.
He was an alcoholic himself so he knows first hand what to say.
Anyway, i wish you best of luck You can do it! I did it!
Onwards and Upwards buddy,
Good Luck!!
ohhhhh i forgot to tell you that is FREE!

I will for sure be looking into his channel. Thanks for the link.

You are welcome! Happy to help :)

Best of luck to your full recovery! When you said rehab, I thought you had injured yourself in a car accident or something, totally misunderstood. Blessings, bredren @cryptohustlin!

Treatment seems crazy.... But its worth something...

Ill trade 10 days of horrible pain for the rest of my life.

Youre an inspiration man. Ive been there. Recovery is possible. And the only advice I could give you is this one: Take it day by day. I sincerely wish you the best of luck. Hang in there, youre a warrior! xoxo

reminds me of clockwork orange. I would not recommend this to anyone, yet it might help you to get a clean start into a life without the drug. to get consistent after the beginning i think having good friends (who dont consume the drug you were dependent on) is the best therapy.

Go kill it. Keep us posted.

I will be updating as often as I can, And As much as I am legally allowed to share.

Good luck mate! If you need a cheaper option, I'll electrocute and poison you for half the price.. :p

Lol this was a great smile you put on my face.

good job in taking the initiative to sober up. Salute!

Thanks so much for the kind words!

I agree, why not try everything if you are serious about it!

true that

Your headline sounded quite shocking! I'm glad it's not literally true. It sounded like you were going to end it all.

Far from it, This is a begining. And the end of a shitty me.

IF YOU CAN DO THIS YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!... Look forward to that.

I agree, this is hell. Not only abstaining.... but the way in which im being conditioned. Thanks for the kind words!

Until we get cold fusion and time travel! I have no choice!

Haha exactly!!

Alcohol is already poison, I can't really recommend aversion therapy though.

Why dont you believe in aversion therapy?

It may keep you away from one poison, but not from every poison.
Find the reason why you are drinking to the point of hurting yourself and deal with that,
I haven't seen aversion work out in the long run.

It's not only aversion therapy that I am receiving, I will also be doing CBT, as well as sodium pentothol(truth serum) interviews as well making some radical life changes to avoid putting my self in situations where I would want to drink.

What is aversion therapy?

Similiar to pavlovs conditioning to make dogs salivate. But instead anchoring a negative responce or fear.

OK interesting. But how do you prevent getting sick from the poison?

Wish you all the best man! Hope the treatment brings you the change you need.

You're facing the battle head on, man, and I hope it goes really well for you. Best wishes.

Good luck, man! I'm sure it'll be worth it! Welcome to Steemit.

What the... I have never heard about such treatment for alcoholism or drug addictions. Crazy stuff... hopefully it works out fine, best of luck!

Yeah it for sure is intense. But seeing how much it has changed peoples lives gives me so much hope.

Of course, I believe that. Well I can't do anything more than wishing you the best of luck my friend!

Thats much more then sufficient.

best of luck. get well soon

Good luck with the quiting alcohol.
I too recently quit after years and years of struggling with the alcohol addiction.
I did not have the means for any Shick Shadel treatment, but found the Allen Carr "easy way to quit alcohol" very effective. Along with changes in diet, regular fasting, meditation and excersise to be most effective.
The Allen Carr book is quite brilliant as it demystifies all our conditioning, programing and cultural brainwashing about alcohol. And the book only costs $9.00 for the Kindle.
Watch some of Jeff Berwick's walking the dogs youtube videos for some additional inspiration. I think one of them is titled "why I quit alcohol".
Best wishes, A

poisoned alcohol & Electrocution sounds nuts but if it works then get it done mate.
wish you all the best mate i am going to follow you for the sole purpose of seeing results in a few weeks good luck mate be strong,

such an amazing write up...

followed you.

We all believe in the treatment you are getting and the good effect it can have on your life, Best of luck. Upvoted

wow

Good luck with it. I know these things are not easy. I am lucky I am not as far gone as you but still I recently took some very drastic action to cut down on going out and drinking a ton if booze.

Thats amazing that you took action! Might I ask what you did?

Thanks. My alcohol (ab)use was not drinking daily at home but more getting completely trashed at the weekend.

I now force myself to avoid these bars, I go out only once a week and not on a Friday or Saturday night. It's hard as I'm a foreigner where I live and I have a nice social life that revolved around these occasions but I have to look after my health first. I was also very ashamed of my behavior.

I guess I was lucky to shock myself into action and that I binge drink rather than daily drink.

Im glad that you had the will power to make such a positive change in your life! The social aspect of it makes it hard for sure!

Sounds like an interesting place to say the least.

welcome to the steemit family ...... best of luck.

So I start got on steemit and this post baffles me on so many levels.

One, we don't treat addiction correctly in America at all. By that I mean, we don't treat addiction. The justice system is weighted to lock people up after they screw up, with rehab programs for people addicted to many substances costing several thousand dollars. It should be a national health issue and there should be public programs to help, like in most other countries.

Second, what the actual fuck. Shock therapy? This feels like some Clockwork Orange craziness. I'm sorry. Obviously this problem is hurting your life and must cost you more than $20k/year (either in actual money or emotionally) for you to undertake this, but if this is true, it feels fucked up and bizarre. Surely there must be more effective treatment options out there. Everything about this feels crazy and off and insane. Where are all the comments questioning this? Or even asking more questions? Everyone is supporting you dumping a ton of money on a very intense treatment that may or may not work/be a scam.

Cool, knowing u need help is the most important think, but wtf that's a crazy treatment.

Good luck! I am touched by your determination to heal! Wishing you all the best through the process and seeing you thriving thereafter ~

Thank you so much for your kind words! It means alot. I cant wait to face life sober.

10 days isn't long to get your life back. Good luck!

whoa, good luck

Hope you'll get well soon!

This is one wild treatment idea, but from the painted stones I have a good feeling about it. May the odds be ever in your favor! Good vibes coming your way!

I have seen peoples lives change over 3-4 days here. I mean complete change.

I wish you all the best, cryptohustlin. Please, take photos of the process and you might end up with an award-winning portfolio that can help others going through the same. :)

Good luck! May your Will be strong!!

My will is stronger then steel.
