In this video, our good friend from Portugal shows an example of how we managed to do a beautiful job for the children's school using only recycled materials.
This work was developed within the scope of collaboration between parents and the school environment. There is an almost widespread idea that the school environment is one thing and the family environment is another, without both worlds being able to touch each other. In this sense, given that each parent, in principle will have a profession, it is possible to demonstrate to our children different life experiences. It is not enough to ask: "What do you want to be when you are grown up?" If children are able to have practical contact with each of the professions, their choice may be easier. It was within the scope of this idea that this project was developed. It is a simple model showing what energy is, the various types of energy production and the conversion of various elements into energy (kinetic and solar). On the other hand, the various applications for the energy produced are demonstrated, showing the positive and negative poles in direct current.
One of the peculiarities of this work, is the fact that all the material used was obtained from packaging that would be destined for garbage, so everything is recycled.
With this work, children were able to enter the world of electrotechnics and realize that it is possible to give a second life to most of the materials we buy. The next time they think about disposing of any packaging, they will think: "What can I do with this?"
