🍌The secret ingredient for the best ever banana bread is... [Recipe]🍌

This is the best tasting and moistest Banana Bread ever and the secret ingredient is sour cream!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 4 black overly ripe medium bananas mashed

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  • In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, stir into the butter mixture until smooth. Finally, fold in the sour cream and bananas. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.

  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool loaf in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

@watersnake101 Please do! It really is the best recipe variation that I've come up with, the second secret ingredient is using all brown sugar :)

@coldsteem Ha! You have to try it, it does make the house smell incredible! Be sure to only let it sit a short while, just enough to make it easier to cut but is still warm... then spread a little or a lot of butter on it and enjoy :)
