Spiritual reflections: God "will repay each person according to what they have done". Romans 2:6

In the letter to the Romans, the apostle Paul deepens some themes exposed in the letter to the Galatians, in particular the law of return and the just judgment of God. In the letter to the Galatians he wrote: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life", Galatians 6:7-8.
In Romans the apostle continues the explanation: "God ´will repay each person according to what they have done´. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But to those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.", Romans 2:6-8.

In essence, Paul is expressing a principle to us: two ways (sin or righteousness), two rewards (blessing or curse). The universe gives us back what we give it, it is important to understand that this retribution is in this life, not the next. An antecedent of this teaching is Psalm 1, the psalm of the two ways:
"Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.", Psalm 1
Also Paul explains to us in his reflections, that there is not only a retribution in this life for our actions but also a judgment of God in the future life. This is why Paul explains to us that we must avoid judgments according to the flesh, that is, avoid projecting our negative aspects on others: "You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same thing. Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.", Romans 2:1-2.
God in the afterlife also judges the hearts and secrets of men: "This will take place on the day when God judges people's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.", Romans 2:16.
