One of the roles of Muhammad SAW, which is now forgotten by his followers, is the role of Muhammad SAW as the reformer.

One of the roles of Muhammad, which is now forgotten by his followers, is the role of Muhammad as the reformer. The spirit of renewal that Muhammad had brought that succeeded in changing the face of the jahiliyah of the Arab nation into a civilized nation was gone. Many of the people of Muhammad, the true revolutionary, actually argued that the renewal had stopped in the 6th century, so now just live life according to the textbook while waiting for the end of the world. So don't be surprised if today we are portraying the life of the people of Muhammad, then the form is:

  • Oil-rich kingdoms that politicize the teachings of Islam in order to perpetuate power, while emphasizing freedom of opinion, eliminating the rights of women and minorities, all for the sake of lasting "breed" power. Pretending to be siding with the Muslims, while behind sharing with Western merchants. How come, the Bush family turned out to be close partners with the Arab royal family in business? (read the book "House of Bush, House of Saud: The Secret Relationship ...")

Who is the largest Citicorp (parent of Citibank) shareholder? Is it Jewish? No, he is Prince Walid bin Talal. And did Muhammad ever exemplify the royal model for generations? Even though they claim to be "heirs" to Muhammad's purest and consistent teachings. In fact they let neighboring Muslim countries in the west of Africa starve. They let the blood of the mujahid spill, while continuing to breed dollar accounts in western state banks. Not to mention the abuse of migrant women workers who are often carried out by the residents there (and their government do nothing!)

  • The countries are very poor, especially in the northern part of the African continent, which has no day without conflict and killing in the name of religion, even though the core is fighting over power, while the people die of hunger.
  • In other countries that are relatively better, many actually are in frustrated conditions. Want to fight America, but how to bomb yourself.

I had visited the ex-Islamic civilizations that were extraordinary, like in Istanbul and in India. In my heart I cried watching the extraordinary mosques that are now dirty and abandoned, and just being objects of tourists (at that time I immediately remembered the struggle of people in my village to build mosques) When compared to the Blue Mosque or Hagia Sophia clearly our mosque was less majestic. But in Istanbul the mosques were empty! In the Istanbul museum they save the nails of the prophet, the hair of the prophet, the sword of the prophet, the letter of the prophet, the relics of the companions of the prophet. (Of course not for conflict. This is purely tourism!) Whereas, by looking at the Prophet's letter to the rulers of Rome, Paris, for example, we are inspired and intrigued by how innovative he was at that time. Many do not realize that Indian civilization as we see it today is the fruit of the Moghul Islam dynasty, the most famous of which is Akbar the Great who once ruled India. The Taj Mahal, which is proud of, is the work of Islamic rulers. I have also visited mosques in the city of Hyderabad (Mecca Mosque). The name of the city is a relic of Islam (which means Hyder / Khaidir city). The mosque which is dirty and fragile has a capacity of 10,000 people! Imagine if you moved to Indonesia. But what is the life of the Muslim community there? One word: Poor. Many are beggars and live in slums and high crime. How could this nation that once ruled the exotic and fertile plains now become a beggar?

The answer I often hear is blame the British colonization, blame Hindus and blame Western-Jewish conspiracies. What I rarely hear is self-reflection, are we all, Muhammad's "seal of all prophets" already a reformer like Muhammad before?
