Multiple Visions - My Entry to the Reggaesteem Writing Contest sponsored by @ super-irie

When you see a picture many things come to mind, it is not a lie that a picture says more than a thousand words ... however I should not use more than 500 at this opportunity, I will try.

To a large extent what an image inspires you is conditioned by your emotional state at the moment you see it, so I took a couple of days for this publication.

That's why I bring different interpretations from the same image.

For starters:

"Don't forget that the earth delights in feeling your bare feet and the winds yearn to play with your hair. "
Khalil Gibran.

I relate this phrase totally with the image, since I believe that feeling the sand (or earth) directly with our bare feet allows us to establish that contact with the planet, to whom we owe ourselves. It also activates our sensibility, more and more necessary so that the care towards our planet is greater. I can relate the ball to the world because of its spherical characteristic. Just as the earth needs our care, we need it, and I believe more of us need it than vice versa.

I also think of the importance of walking barefoot from childhood, helps to stimulate locomotion, balance and the ability of the baby to feel. For example, the game of soccer strengthens their legs, helps them socialize, improves team play, improves communication, gives them health, so many good things it provides.

I remember that some time ago I read about an Ethiopian athlete, Abebe Bikila, who in the 1960 Olympics in Rome ran the 42 km marathon with his bare feet, before the astonished look of the world, managing to improve the world record at that time by 8 minutes, managing not only to go down in history for the new World Record but to be one of the few to run such a distance in an Olympics with bare feet.

Or the Indian Football team, who in 1948 participated in the London Olympics playing barefoot, the first participation after independence from the British Empire. For more information Here

It also made me think that one of Bob Marley's passions was soccer, and that his health problems began with an acral lentigous melanoma, a form of cancer that originated in the first toe of his right foot, which a few years later would affect other organs and end his life at a very early age. Unfortunately.

Seeing the image made me think about myself, being barefoot was something I used to enjoy, now always with footwear, from early hours of the day until night, and the daily routine often prevents me from enjoying something as simple and basic as that. In addition to the cold floor in Bogota je je je je
