Jenny's Special Cakes

At the roundabout, take the West End Road approximately two and one-half kilometers. Here is where you'll find Jenny's Restaurant A.K.A. "Jenny's Cakes." It's a small, quaint building situated on the roadside section of the road winding along the cliffs. The food here is excellent and is genuine Jamaican, but there is also a bakery area.

There are standard bakes, but if ask, and only if you ask, you'll find Jenny's Special Brownies. As you likely surmised, they have an extra "organic" ingredient. I cannot vouch for the vitality on this "rumor," for this is only what I have heard - yeah right.

They are quite expensive. Last time I was in Negril, they fetched 10 dollars American, but they are well worth the price. The brownies are small, but they surely pack quite the potent punch. Now, I don't know what they would go for, as the exchange rate is constantly changing and I am unaware exactly of what the Jamaican J's value would be today.

So, fellow steemians - BE ADVISED!

Do not eat a whole brownie all at once. Pace yourself. It's recommended to eat cautiously and consume one-fourth to one-half and save the rest for later. I believe I can mention the above information based on the fact that Jenny has passed and the statute of limitations has expired. May you rest in peace, Jenny.

Jenny's daughter, Connie, is the new baker in the family. There is a newly built place right next to the old restaurant on the West End. The name of the new place is now - Connie's Country and Western Bar.

To conclude, I would like to throw out a few ideas out to all my fellow steemians. Firstly, a challenge to see who can eat an entire brownie in full. The only person I know who could possibly accomplish this amazing feat is the @ganjafarmer

Secondly, I would like to propose that the next steemfest event be held in Negril. Wouldn't that be cool?
In closing, here is a quote from Connie that I heard on a youtube video, "If you haven't, you have to make a stop at Jenny's and get into some of the goodies. You tried the rest, but you have to try the best. Come to Negril to see for yourself."

Respect,

S-irie

Cool proposition - steemfest in Negril. This would be a much more accessible pick up and go trip for people on this side of the globe I’m sure (as opposed to Thailand).

Not too shabby an idea.
Oh, and sweet article, story, and pictures by the way. Got a kick out of this one

I hear you.
Not only authentic food, but the
‘Special Ingredient’. This place
established early 70’s. Can you just imagine how many bakes have been consumed. Bake on Jenny.

Gotta be really careful with edibles. Wouldn't want to ruin a day in beautiful Negril due to over indulging.

Most probably a very smart move.
I’ve heard stories of peeps completely losing it. Not seen for days. Every moment in Jamaica is precious. Enjoy your vacation.
Stick with Red Stripe.

They just legalized edibles here but you can read the strength and trust it to a degree. Downing an entire 1000 mg chocolate bar is whacky, eating a 25-50mg piece keeps you irie for hours. The government set a 10mg limit per package which is too low for most. Edit, the brownies around here are 100 to 400mg of THC, thats why you should split them into 4 if you don't know wagwon.

There’s a video on you tube where Connie expounds on her mother Jenny and history of ‘specials’.
Speaks about her new endeavors.
It is worth watching.
