The program is based off of some of the self-help books of L Ron Hubbard’s but not based off the religion of Scientology, so you don’t’ have to worry about that coming up in the program. The vast Majority of our clients are Catholic, Christian, Jewish, or they don’t’ identify with any religion at all and I have never heard of someone saying that what is being used here is contradictory to their own religious beliefs. We actually make it clear from the program orientation that we use some of the Philosophy of Hubbard but we are not a church, nor do we have any aims or goals of addressing religion here, that is why we are licensed as a secular drug rehab program by the state and by the Joint Commission.
Frankly I don’t know a lot about Scientology but the stuff we use is all about having a solid moral and ethical foundation in life, having good problem solving skills, treating others with respect, having a high level of integrity, surrounding yourself with social, happy, and ethical people and creating healthy goals for oneself to set out and achieve when they leave. However we believe that one is FULLY responsible for their own choices and decisions they have made, and will be making in the future and it is all about doing the right thing from this point forward.
I am roman Catholic and nothing in that every crossed with the way I was raised and I assume all religions would agree with those principals…..
