Hello I'm Tony here to introduce myself!
One year ago today, I got my heart broken.
It's been a year since I've been single and got out of a 4 year relationship, and I'm honestly still in no rush to be in a relationship. A lot of people thought we were gonna end up getting back together, but we didn't. Most people try to fill that emptiness and that void after a break up by getting into another relationship right away because they don't know how to be alone and they're scared of being alone. I didn't have to learn how to be happy again on my own, but I chose to.
I've been alone for the past year and let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being alone. Take your time to process heartbreak, take your time to get over someone, and take your time to move on with your life. Why? Because so that the next person you end up with, they'll be able to get the best out of you. I'm happy that she's been able to find love after me. It isn't my time yet, and there's nothing unfortunate about that because I want to be ready when that day comes. Until then, I'm making sure I'll be good enough for the next girl by building myself up and bettering myself every day.
Moral of this post? Be patient, because not everybody you lose is a loss. You actually gain yourself back from losing someone, and that's the best thing that can happen to you.
Welcome to Steemit! :-) I absolutely agree with everything you said and I do believe that right things are worth waiting. And, until they come, well, do your best to improve yourself in all ways, enjoy every day, try something you never have. Learning to love yourself and getting to know yourself is important too.

Its always difficult whenever there is a breakup.
Especially when you have poured so much of yourself into the relationship.
My son, who is deaf, dated a hearing girl for over a year. He poured himself into the relationship.
After she broke up with him, he went into a long period of depression, and couldn't understand what happened. (By the way, she was very pretty).
I tried to tell him that pouring everything you have into a relationship is like pouring the entire bag of sugar into your tea, or coffee.
You end up with an empty bag, and nothing left for YOU. It will always leave you hollow with emptiness, and now your tea and coffee will be bitter, because you have nothing to sweeten it with.
I advised him to always save a little sugar for himself, and never pour everything into a relationship until he is absolutely sure that this is the right one for him.
But even then, he should save some for himself, because even if you're married, things can go wrong. Here you are, living your life with the one you married for years and years, and something can click. And if you havent tajen measures to take care of yourself, then it will be hard to fill the void.
So, he made up his mind that he wouldnt date anymore girls that were too pretty, and overly hot. He started dating another girl, who was kinda cute and a tiny bit chubby. It lasted over a year and a half, then she dumped him as well.
They had all kinds of fun. Went to the mall, movies, amusement parks and he spoiled her.
I think what did him in, was he liked to play World of Warcraft alot.
I finally had to tell him, that women need security, and need different kinds of attention.
Just when you think you have them figured out...they change the rules :-)
Love is fickle and theres no formula.
The secret to my marriage?
Learn the phrase,"Yes, Dear".
It will save your life.
