Relationship can be said to be, in the lowest term to mean the link between a person to another. It can also mean what is shared between a person to another. A relationship can be family, business, friend, sexual, etc.
Basically it is stated that emotions play the most important role in any relationship. So for as long as we dwell in this universe, relationship must exist in one of the many forms and no one can live outside one of the many types of relationships.
But what is the essential ingredient for any relationship to work ?
If we look around our environment , we can see a lot of things going wrong . There are issues in the family, society, business environment, government, and the list seems to be endless.
I sometimes ponder that relationships was made to fulfill a need, just like in the beginning when God created the environment. He made man for the environment. For the man, He also made the woman. And if we look deeply at the way things are you will see that nothing exist for itself alone. It requires some kind of relationship.
For any relationship to work to its purpose - there must be love for self or self love.
Love for self or self love is not being selfish so that i don't get misunderstood or misquoted. What it means basically is discovering who you are and loving every single detail about yourself. Until you fully appreciate yourself you cannot have healthy relationship be it at any form. You will look outside for fulfillment that will not bring you satisfaction. You will hurt your relationship.
So it very important that for any relationship to achieve its purpose, every one involved in that relationship must appreciate themselves first as persons before they can appreciate others.
To develop self love, you must know that you are unique, be thankful and grateful for who you are. Also note that nobody is perfect and look out for yourself. Find out what works for you and start enjoying a healthy relationship all the way.
