Dowry is derived from the Arabic word 'ship' which means equipment or application. The equipment that the traveler needs during the journey to take the woman home and transport the deceased to the grave. The other two things are not known but the dowry given to the girl on her leave is a strange thing. It is believed that when a girl gets married, her parents gladly give her daughter some equipment as a gift, which is wrong to attribute to Islam because there is no concept of dowry in Islam. Even at the time of marriage, no expenses are incurred on the girl's family, but on the boy's family. Don't be so burdened.
