Not sure how clear this graphic is, but I could have used this advice when I was younger. "Mixed signals" usually means the person you're trying to date either isn't actually interested, or they're not really capable of being what you need.
I spent a lot of time as the guy on the left, wondering what I could do to get someone who was only kinda interested to being a committed partner. Basically never worked but did take a lot of effort and time.
Now, I'd just recommend that anyone experiencing this from people you're dating should just move on.
Relationships will always take some work, but it shouldn't be a huge effort from the outset.
