During this period, the exoskeleton of the caterpillar will become larger and larger in a short time.
3. 1. Pupa - chrysalis (or cocoon, if the chrysalis is surrounded by protective silk, characteristic of nocturnal species); this is a transition phase with complete metamorphosis
4. 1. Butterfly (adult stage)-an adult butterfly or imagery is a stage in life that can fly and reproduce, and it will not happen in other stages.

As for the lifespan of a butterfly, its lifespan varies with its species, access to food and climatic conditions. Some people have a life cycle of 5 to 7 days, while others have a life cycle of 9 to 12 months.
