Who hasn't struggled with unbelief and doubt before but what if I told you and the world that there is a way to enhance your belief in the things that you ask God for . It just takes a little faith and the heart of belief to release that power .The first thing that you must understand is that Belief works differently from Faith . Faith is all around you . It's in everything that God has every made , in every one of his words and it's in you . "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen ". Hebrews 11:1 .
Faith only needs to be activated and it's activated through your works . "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. "James 2:17 BUT belief is activated through your heart . Which is why Jesus said in scripture Mark 11:23 "does not doubt in their heart " . Jesus said this because he knew that your heart was the key to your believing and receiving ; so you could say scripture Mark 11:23 is Jesus's way of giving the world a hint into the how belief works because sadly most of us missed it but if we all were to you study and seeks God word earnestly then we would always find treasures like the lesson of belief in Mark 11:23 . Which are more valuable than all the riches of the world (food for thought) .
Below I have listed some practical ways to enhance your belief in what you have ask for you .
1. Stay in God's word to strengthen your belief .
God's word is your rock of faith that you will build your belief on . The more you study and meditate on it . The stronger it will make your belief.
"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful". Joshua 1:8
2. Pray and keep on praying .
Prayer is your asking so that you may receive . If you don't ask then you don't get .
"Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete ".John 16:24
3. See and imagine what you have asked for in your mind and how you want things to be.Refer to the story of Jacob and how his literally visionary scheme of manipulated sheep to give birth to spotted sheep in Genesis 30:25-43
4.Speak God's word which pertain to what you want and your own positive words .
Think of it as your words being the vehicle and God's word is the fuel . You need both for your faith to go some where.
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21
5. Record yourself saying those positive affirmations .
Recording yourself speaking positive words and affirmations then replaying and listening to them is just a little trick that I recently learned . I base the significance of it from Roman's 10:17 and what I've found is that it helps to reinforce belief in your mind through hearing it . Which will help take your belief which is now in your mind into your heart .Where there it can be activated to manifest your desire .
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10:17
6. Prepare for the thing you want by acting on your belief .
Ex: If you are believing for a new home .Then you might start to buy and store new furniture . As a way to prepare and solidify that you have what you have asked God for .
Fyi. You don't need to do anything extreme when using this exercise. Instead use your own discretion and pray. Ask God for wisdom as to what acts of belief you should be doing . Then wait for his wise answer.
"By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones ". Hebrews 11:22
7. Patience is required .
Patience is not you idly waiting on God to bring forth what you have asked for but it is instead you being still and "knowing" that you have it what you have asked God for and it is that knowing and stillness that comes from trusting God that will cause the very thing which you have asked for to manifest .
"He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth " Psalm 46:10
8.Accept it !
There will come a time in your belief process in which you will need to rest and accept that you have done all that God's word requires of your faith and that you have what you have asked God for and it is this place of rest that you can cast all your cares on the Lord and trust him to carry out what you have believed for.
"Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken ".Psalm 55:22
