Where did we come from?

I often lay awake, pondering the meaning of life. This is sort of difficult to really think about because it almost seems like we have no idea where we came from. Heck just 100 years ago, we thought the world began only 2000-3000 years ago. We base our calendar based on the death of Jesus. But when did life actually begin? Was it 10,000 years ago, 100,000 years ago? How did we get here?

Some may say that we came from the sea, then turned into monkeys, and then monkeys into humans. But that doesn't really explain it does it? While we may share some DNA with apes There is no gradual step to humans, and our cognitive ability. Sure monkeys can use tools, and remember certain things, but they are no way have the same cognitive ability we do.

I've been trying to put the pieces together. I've looked into the Bible, Quran, and recently have begun diving into the Sumerian texts. For the Bible being written, and put together in 600 A.D., I often wonder how much stuff was missed. Do you remember the old communication game back in Elementary school, "The Telephone Game". You basically take 20-30 kids, and you whisper Dog in one child's ear, and they tell the same thing to the person next to them, and so forth. By the time it gets to the last person, its now 'Pickle Sauce' or something.

Jesus died in roughly 0 A.D. and it took them 600 years to write, and put stuff together, and the ASTOUNDING information in the Sumerian texts is even crazier. There are so many similarities between the Bible, and Sumerian Texts. It leaves you wondering, I wonder how much stuff was edited from the Sumerians.

Gensis 1:26 says;

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea >and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

I want to Analyse this text. "Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness".

Sounds almost like he is talking to multiple people.

Now I've been studying Sumerian text for a couple of weeks now. So I will do some explaining here. First this is from B.C.E. BLMJ Seal 377. Now I want you to look at the Image, and the people (Anunnaki) to the right with their hands up. Now originally archaeologists say this depicted them building the tower of Babble. Now, I believe this to actually be the Anunnaki workers protesting, as they didn't come here to work in the mines, and do the grunt work. So this depicted them the Anunnaki protesting at Enlil's house. Why where humans created in the first place? Maybe because Igigi went on strike and didn't want to do the work.

Now if you refer to Atra Hasis I (Sumerian Text).

Why are we blaming them?
Their work was too hard, their trouble was too much.
Every day the earth resounded.
The warning signal was loud enough, we kept hearing the noise.
There is...
Belet-ili the womb goddess is present-
Let her create a mortal man
So that he may bear the yoke...
So that he may bear the yoke, the work of Ellil,
Let man bear the load of the gods!

The midwife of the gods, wise Mami,

This is sort of interesting, Here they are having a meeting, Talking about making a mortal man to do the work of Enlil (Ellil). Also notice the word Mami. It means Mother.

You are the womb-goddess, to be the creator of Mankind!
Create a mortal, that he may bear the yoke!
Let him bear the yoke, the work of Ellil
Let him bear the load of the gods!

Nintu made her voice heard
And spoke to the great gods,

This is pretty crazy when you really read over it. It's just almost like was depicted in the bible. They wanted to make man, so they could do their work for them. Maybe we were created to be slaves or maybe to just do the work for the Gods.

On the first, seventh, and fifteenth of the month
I shall make a purification by washing.
Then one god should be slaughtered.
And the gods can be purified by immersion.
Nintu shall mix the clay
With his flesh and blood.
Then a god and a man
Will be mixed together in clay.
Let us hear the drumbeat forever after,
Let a ghost come into existence from the god's flesh,
Let her proclaim it as her living sign,
And let the ghost exist so as not to forget the slain god.

This is very interesting again... "Mix the clay, Flesh and Blood, Ghost exists" Nintu who is also called Ninti, which is the "Lady of Life", which also means the "Lady of the Rib", If you remember from the Bible. Eve was created from the Rib of Adam. Maybe a play on Nintu's name? "Let a ghost come into existence from the god's flesh", That's an interesting term,
It's very similar to the term in the bible, "Let the breathe of life breathed into man by God" Notice how these things keep criss·crossing?

Now how were we created according to the Bible? Again referencing the Bible up top. Let US, in OUR image. Not his image.

Gensis 2:7

Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being

Dust from the ground, flesh and blood, and life was breathed in.

I do not want to make this too long, as people wont read very long things. So I will let you submit your comments, as I've love to hear them.

Thanks and Happy Mami's Day,

Michael
