The prodigal Son has returned

He took a week or there abouts to make his way from the Vatican to Sydney, but Cardinal George Pell is now back in Australia to answer to our judicial system as to whether he did or did not practice as a kiddy fiddler in years past. Those few following me would know I have a strong feeling about the Catholic Church (and ALL other organisations that used trust and power to abuse). I'm not judging Pell (yet), but there is a hell of a lot of anecdotal evidence (and mounting) that all is not squeaky clean with old George. From his admission that he "should have reacted differently" to shuffling child molesters around parishes to his absolutely callous assessment of the victim of abuse's spiral into self harm (eventuating in her suicide), George Pell has continually and habitually placed the welfare of his Church ahead of the welfare of it's parishioners.

I hope beyond all hope that this is sorted (whatever way) so that our focus upon institutionalised abuse of children may continue to unravel the ball of wool and hold the bastards to account.

And just to clear the air, I am not a victim of abuse (although my brother (now deceased) was)
