I have decided to study The Quran. This is for #discussion open to all regardless of religious views. Please contribute respectively to the dialogue. I have seen how extreme and disrespectful people can become when given a chance to hold meaningful dialogue about such topics. I am not here to interpret The Quran but gain knowledge, understanding and other’s point of view. I would like to hear anyone's interpretation and analogy of these verses if it remains respectful towards the religion. I will not post a Surah (chapter) until I have read it and have something meaningful and a personal take on it to contribute to the discussion. I will not post a Surah in my post rather if I speak on a certain verse I will mention the verse I am referring to. I am currently studying The Quran and Hadiths. The Hadiths were compiled by Imām al-Bukhārī.

(2:61) This ayah describes some of the food that is halal in Islam. This ayah asks us to eat from what the earth provides. It also speaks on Jesus son of Mary(pbuh). Jesus(pbuh) was supported with the Holy Spirit.
(2:102) This ayah speaks about King Solomon (pbuh) and some of the things that were going on during his reign. (2:124) The story of Abraham(pbuh) is also in Al-Baqarah. Abraham (pbuh) and his son Ishmael(pbuh) built the first Ka’ba.
(2:168) This is an ayah that commands Muslims to eat of the lawful foods given to them.
(2:173) These are the haram foods in Islam.
There are 286 ayahs in the sura Al-Baqarah. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Madina. While reading sura Al-Baqarah it started out saying that if you wish to learn from the Quran then the knowledge is provided. If a person does not open their heart and mind and take thought to the teaching, they will not change through the teachings of Islam.
(2:22) Allah brings out fruits to feed mankind. Do not assign rivals to Allah while you know.
(2:23-24) I feel like this ayah challenge people who say Islam is a false religion.
(2:29) This ayah states that there are 7 heavens. The story of Adam(pbuh) is in sura Al-Baqarah. The story of King David(pbuh) is in Al-Baqarah. The story of Moses(pbuh) is in Al-Baqarah. As I read sura Al-Baqarah I want to say that at one point the ayah began to speak directly to the children of Israel. Israel to me could simply mean the descendants of Jacob (pbug). I read somewhere that Jacob’s name is synonymous with Israel.
(2:51) Says that the children of Israel began to worship a calf while Moses(pbuh) was away for 40 nights.
(2:53) States and confirms the Scripture and The Criterion was given to Moses. I believe that this ayah is referring to the Torah and the 10 Commandments given to Moses.
(2:55-56) Can someone please explain these ayahs to me? A thunderbolt struck someone… Was it Moses or the non-believers? I read in the Bible that the earth opened and swallowed all the people who did not want to stop worshipping the calf. Al-Baqarah also talks about relationships, sexual intercourse and guides with disputes and separation in a relationship.
(2:286) This is an ayah that I want to memorize. It sounds like a good prayer to me.

Did you get the chance to read or to see how they pray before sacrificing the animals ?
When Muslims people are praying, the animal is sitting relaxed and is waiting to be sacrificed.
I know how it's sound but I saw with my eyes and can be seen on YouTube.
And Christian people... They have to kill the animal before being killed.

No I gave to see it. I believe animals would be willing to be slaughtered in the name of Allah. It might serve a purpose for them.
