God forgives, why don't we?

Psalm 86 : 5

"For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You"

Certain things in life happens, where you lose the trust of someone. No matter the apology, sometimes it can be much more harder to forgive that person.

If we come clean with our sins and ask God for forgiveness, He does not hesitate to forgive and He will forgive you seven times a day if you ask Him. God is faithful, and He lives up to His word. It is your choice to sin again and not learn out of the mistake.

What would happen if we could forgive as easily as God does?

The world would be totally different. No grudges will be held, everyone living a happy healthy life. No worries, no problem. But unfortunately it ain't so easy. Our minds need to process the things that happen, and it takes time to get through everything. We then start to hold a grudge or we tend to not process the situation that happened, so we can't forgive the person.

 Luke 17 : 3

“Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him."

Life would be so much different if all we could do is move on. But it's hard to live with the thought of someone who you thought was close to you, hurt you and just forget about it. But the pain they cause is just your worries. And then that sticks like an oil stain.

Life is hard and to forgive things are not as easy, so I recommend talking to God, asking Him to help you make the right choices. You will not instantly forgive, but talking to God can make so much more better. The person who hurt you will try and say sorry, but sometimes it's not enough. Time heals wounds, God heals wounds and with Him, you can forgive.

Just like Jesus forgave others while being crucified, we are to forgive, whether or not others confess their faults.

Luke 23 : 33-34

“And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

lovely message @brotherbear. Holding a grudge doesn't make you strong; it makes you bitter. forgiving doesn't make you weak; it sets you free.

To forgive is the only way to give your heart freedom and to live happy

One thing I've learned about forgiveness is this: In order to forgive, we don't have to forget, but we do need to treat the other person as if we've forgotten. It takes maturity, and it takes love.
