People who call themselves agnostic are true deniers of religion. An agnostic is someone who is open to the bible being right, but hasn't got the right sales person to tie the deal. They are waiting for someone else to save them from damnation which is reckless and bizarre.
I am an atheist. If religion helps you live a healthy lifestyle, then I support your decision entirely. There is no scripture that says atheists need to convert Christians into atheists. Christians are instructed in the bible that converting others to Christianity would score them points in heaven, so they at least have an excuse for pushing their beliefs. When a christian trys to convert me, I have to remind myself that they aren't choosing to convert me, their religion is instructing them to pedal their beliefs.
Many christians use the excuse "whats the harm" so if its true you go to heaven, and if it isn't, it never mattered.... but... there are religious texts from other religions which claim Christians are the ones who are damned. In those religions, atheists are not seen as the enemy because they aren't preaching against their beliefs, its christians who seem to laugh in the face of their beliefs. When you claim to be christian, you are telling the world that you think your beliefs are right, and all other beliefs are wrong.
The reason atheists seem to know more biblical references then actual christians is because we are use to being forced to hear different parts of the bible over and over because christians don't realize its not that we don't know what it says, its that we don't believe there is enough evidence to suggest that book is right and the hundreds of others aren't.
There is no study that proves Christians are happier then atheists, and if they were infact happier, the way they express themselves should be a better indicator then their claims of happiness. When someone tells you they are happier then you, that ultimately stems from insecurity. In the end, not everyone is brave enough to admit there isnt enough evidence to know for certain what happens after death, and if you can't handle not knowing there is nothing wrong with using religion as a tool of strength to live a world without answers.
For some people, christianity is the only thing stopping them from committing g suicide or losing hope in the world or going back into other addictions. Just like morphine, religion can offer the comfort to those who have problems bigger then life.
From my perspective, when someone pushes religion, its the same thing as when someone pushes a diet. What they are really doing is growing their support network so they don't feel as alone in their belief. Its like when a cigarette smoker has no smoker friends so he hands free cigarettes out till he has smoker friends.
The moral of my rant is, true atheists arent against christian beliefs, they just have higher standards for what passes as fact. They aren't as willing to sell out their opinion because other people feel the need to pressure them into it. I can't speak for all atheists, but its my understanding that the only time atheists challenge religion is when its being pushed down their throats. I love everyone, Christians only care about other Christians. If they think your going to hell, then your not worth their time. If someone dies and they need religion to cope with the loss, there is nothing wrong with seeking comfort, but remember that in that situation its being used like morphine. If religion helps you grow and help others, then I support your decision, but remember that if your not skeptical, your not credible.
Two questions to ask before believing ANYTHING:
1. What is my best evidence?
2. What would it take to prove that evidence wrong?

Agnostic here, certainly not a christain in a sense though..
Beleiveing in a higher power is one thing, naming it or thinking you know what it is, is another.
I refer to the power that may exist that created shit as "The creator" but am not even sure it exists.. Certainly don't fear heaven nor hell though, lived both on this planet I figure already.

I used to be a Christian. I'm now an agnostic. One thing that really bothers me about Christianity is that I cannot understand why here in 2020 people are still debating whether or not all suicides go to Hell. I would never want anyone to commit suicide. However, I understand that there are people that are driven to it because of both unbearable emotional and physical suffering. Therefore, it bewilders me how a merciful god would feel that justice had been served in sending someone who fits that description to burn for all eternity. It would be like he is no less sadistic than Satan himself. Moreover, there is no scientific evidence that all suicides go to Hell. These psycho-Christians are merely adding insult to injury every time they tell a mourning family that a loved one of theirs who committed suicide has gone to Hell.
I once read a story on the Internet about a married couple who had attended a church for years and had contributed a whole mint to them; but after their teenage son had committed suicide, that same church was unwilling to perform a funeral service for him inasmuch as they insisted that he had gone to Hell. These Christian fundamentalists are simply not right in the head. Anyhow, I gave your article an upvote. :-)
