The Master Potter

Jeremiah 18:6

6O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this
potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in
the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house
of Israel.

In the days of the prophet Jeremiah, Judah was a mess. The people were broken, lost, filled with sin and idolatry...and they didn't even seem to know it. But God hadn't given up on them, and speaking through the prophet, He begged them to turn back to Him so He could heal them, forgive them and restore them.

God led Jeremiah to a potter's house and showed him a man working at a pottery wheel, taking a marred, imperfect vessel and re-forming it so it could be made into something beautiful and useful. God then showed Jeremiah what this scene meant, namely that He wanted to do the same with the people of Israel. He even instructed Jeremiah to go to the people and ask them, "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?"

Our heavenly father asks us the same question today. He wants to take all of us - including our messes, our mistakes and our ugliness - and remold us into beautiful vessels He can use for His glory and for the good of those around us. Our part in that equation is to answer "Yes!" when He asks us whether He can mold us into what He knows each of us can be. That is, in the words of the apostle Paul, "a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work" (2 Timothy 2:21).

good message .. welcome transformation Potter's in my life.

all of us have faults and sins, one of the biggest problems is our character and that is why God wants us to let ourselves be molded and so little will be taken away from us what he does not like ... of course, it is not easy because there he will take away from us things that are normal for us but are not pleasing to God and we will often feel overwhelmed, only until the Lord achieves his work will we realize that it was worth everything we spend while the potter molds us .

God transforms us day by day in his image glory to God that's why

Really intresting post sir thanks for share

we want to know more about the christianity.
Thank you.....@deathlyhorror .
all better things warmly received.

Beautiful religious story about prophet Jeremiah. People always make mistake and God forgive them. But we should always try to follow God's rules and try to read Bible from cover to cover. Thanks dear friend @deathlyhorror for always providing the religious content.

When we are moulded by our potter which is God,He will make our lives meaningful. Thanks @deathlyhorror

It always amazes me that God uses the weak, poor and small to confront and confound the strong, rich and mighty. He also uses totally broken people (like David after the Bathsheba incident.) He uses children to confound adults.

That's all good because it give me a chance to be useful too!

A Dios sea toda la gloria y honrra hermano .

if God transforms us it is because we have a good fortune thanks to God for his mercy

Jesus christ is the way, the truth and the light

The expected message today
!! Congratulations!!

Receiving from God the word is wonderful, and as God knows everything responds to the needs of our heart when we read things like that.

Being in the hands of the Lord to be changed can be a hard process, where we will stop doing what we are used to and I think it is a difficult process but I know that after having been shaped, it will have a good result.

It is to feel and see the hand of God in our lives, to transform a character that does not please him but that with love wants to change to fortify us and make us grow to glorify Him.

God bless you friend @deathlyhorror

We indeed have a resilient God whose love knows no bound and stretched beyond limits to show himself patient merciful and kind.

Indeed he is able to save to the uttermost and can reshape lives and destiny as a potree.

One i can never understand is Gods master art on Me.If he mould you.It hot but its all glow for a bloom

The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven..
Thanks for your religionic article..@deathlyhorror

Very good post, I think most of us want God to re-shape us. And thank God He doesn't just throw us out when we get stained or chipped or just refuse his shaping of us.

Excellent, do two post that I would like to give me your opinion, if you have time. God bless you.

True. The case of Judah in time of Jeremiah, the prophet (similiar to the state of our present world) is typical of what Jonathan Edwards preached centuries ago: "Sinners in the Hand of an angry God"

Yet, God didn't give up on them. God is merciful... "If only we will confess our sins He's just and faithful to forgive" says scripture.
Hence, as believers our perpetual desire is to remain vessels unto honour in the hands of our God.

We must allow ourselves to be molded, by the hands of our dear Lord, to break, if necessary, all the clay from which we are made and to put it back together again. To fulfill his vulon.
What's the song say
I want to be, beloved Lord
like potter's clay.
Break my life, do me again,
I want to be a new glass.

This potter issue since simple but it really need to be understood by Christians, from this picture we can observed the relationship between the potter and the pot. The pot has to be in absolute submission (total dependence) to the potter for Him to mold it to His desired shape

Amazing post, this is the best post I have read today. We are the handwork of God. Can the clay question the potter? No, he has right onto what to do with it, so does God over us.

We needs God to re-shape our life before we can be useful to the lord.

Lovely message. There is really blessing in Jesus making someone. Anyone that is make by Christ can never be the same.
