Wow! Adam freely took upon sin for the love for his wife. As Jesus did for us on the cross.

No he didn't! He totally tried to pin it on her while blaming God for giving her to him in the first place! "This woman whom YOU gave me..." made me do it! I said this on another reply. Anyone who has kids (plural) knows this scenario all to well. Also, notice how Adam not once takes any responsibility. He never confesses his sin. He doesn't even try to offer a half-assed appology! If he had cofessed when God asked what he had done rather than pointing the finger elsewhere, They wouldn't have been expelled from the garden. God's mercy is infinite and given freely 100% of the time to those with a contrite heart.
