TWO glorious kemengan achieved by Muslims in the war Badar Kubra (2 H) and Fath Mecca (8 H), often associated with the majesty of the holy month of Ramadan. Actually not wrong, but there are other elements that perhaps less attention, namely: characteristics of people who won God in this blessing month. Because, each other is a package that can not be separated.
The Battle of Badar Kubra for example, it is true that this event took place in the month of Ramadan called "Yaum al-Furqân" (The Day of Difference between the Haq and Bathil) as set forth in sura Al-Anfal [8] aya 41.
However, when looking at the characteristics of fighters of this monumental war-God's permission-also played a major role in incising a resounding victory.
Through the Surah Ali Imran [3] verses 123 to 128 and Al-Anfal [8] verses 41 through 45 there are several points that make them helped by God. According to the verse, these fighters have: strong faith, high piety, patience, obedience, peace of mind, confident in God's counsel, brave in the struggle and always remember God.
The victory of the Fath of Mecca is also not free of the properties possessed by great fighters. According to the Surah Al-Fath [48] verses 1 through 29, they are found to have their noble characteristics, among them: faith, peace of soul, support and exaltation of the Messenger of Allah, glorification, loyalty, obedience to Allah and His messenger, piety, and affectionate to fellow believers and diligent worship to obtain the gift and pleasure of God.
Some of the characters contained in both wars are substantially similar. That is, the victory given by God in the month of Ramadan is not a free item. It takes faith, piety, struggle, sacrifice, sincerity of intention, peace of mind and other noble characteristics.
From here, it can be understood how many wars the Muslims won in Ramadan: in addition to being in such a great moon moment, their quality is also so high that it should be helped by Allah Subhanahu wata'ala.
Interestingly, from the glorious history stories of Muslim triumphs in the month of Ramadan, the average of victory is not determined by quantity, but of quality. Like the story of Thalaut and David who can defeat the giant Jalut. In Al-Baqarah [2]: verse 249 is mentioned, "How many groups slightly defeated the many groups with the permission of Allah." The friends of the valley of Badr could win by a small amount based on faith.
From here also, it is understandable why Muslims had lost in the war of Hunain after liberating the city of Mecca as mentioned in sura At-Taubah [9] verse 25 is because they are too proud of quantity, ujub with a lot when it was by no means on the side God without faith and sincerity.
Victory in other wars in Ramadan such as Buwaib, Naubah, Liberation of Andalusia, Liberation in France, Balath Syuhada, Amuriyah, Harim, Shafad, Anthakiyah, Ainun Jalut, Little Armenia, Cyprus and so forth (read: Min Ma'ârik al-Muslimîn fî Ramadhân, the work of Dr. Abdul Aziz [1994]) can not be separated from the quality of the fighters' personalities during Ramadan.
It is very relevant to Umar bin Khattab's popular advice addressed to Muslim warriors before dueling the battlefield that God's help is not obtained from mere preparation but also because of the strength of the faith and the enemy's misfortune. Abu Darda Radhiyallahu 'anhu has also been reminded of, as set forth in "Fath al-Bâri" (2001: VI / 30): "Prepare the righteous deeds before the war, indeed you war with your deeds."
In this month of Ramadan, there may be no physical war. However, other enemies such as demons, lust and others are still available.
This resistance can only be won by those who do not stop to the majesty of Rumadhan moon, but at the same time extinguish themselves with the noble characters possessed by those whom Allah won on Badr, Fath Makkah and so on.
